If you’ve ever seen those oversized paper flowers at events and thought “I could make that…” — you’re right. You just need the right supplies.
After making everything from 5-foot roses to full event backdrops, I’ve tested a lot. These are the exact Amazon supplies I keep coming back to because they actually work (and won’t make you want to quit halfway through).

Quick Shopping List
If you’re just getting started, grab:
Crepe paper (multiple colors)
Hot glue gun + glue sticks
Floral wire
Styrofoam ball
That’s it! You don’t need anything fancy to start creating something that looks custom and high-end.
Some of the links I share are Amazon affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you choose to purchase. I only share products I genuinely use and love.

How to Resize Your Canva Template for Larger Prints
If you're using my template and want to turn it into a larger piece, here’s exactly how to do it using Canva.
Option 1: Canva Pro
If you have Canva Pro, this is the easiest method.
Open the template in Canva
Click “Resize” in the top menu
Enter your desired dimensions (for example: 24” x 36” or 36” x 48”)
Click “Copy & Resize”
Canva will automatically scale your design for you.
Option 2: Print as a Large Template (Free Method)
Open the template in Canva
Click Share → Download → PDF Print
Open the PDF on your computer
When printing, select:
“Poster” or “Tile” (this setting splits your design across multiple pages)
Adjust the scale (ex: 200%, 300%, etc. depending on how large you want it)
Print your pages and tape them together to create a full-size template
From there, you can trace it onto card stock and cut it out to use as your template!
For most large DIY projects (like 3–5 ft cutouts), the tile print method is the easiest and most affordable option—no large printer required.
